Their most recent book, Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide, has received wholehearted praise from humanitarians, activists and journalists alike. Kristof discussed Half the Sky in conjunction with the launch of Economica: Women and the Global Economy.
For I.M.O.W.'s speaker series event, Nicholas Kristof appeared in conversation with Jane Wales, president and CEO of the World Affairs Council of Northern California. Wales is also Vice President of the Aspen Institute and Co-founder of the Global Philanthropy Forum.

BRILLIAT!!Would like to meet Nicholas kristoff and jane Wales-enjoyed the video immensely! Would like to order the book-how can I? and how can I meet them when next in the US??? which would be soon as have my son and wife who is Chinese american in Arizona andwho had a baby girl Lara in december breaking the Indian Family spell of just males!I believe as women we have to be catalysts and be the change we want to see!
