Wonderful photos - thank you!
Kabul, Afghanistan
In March 2005, I traveled with the Global Exchange delegation "Women Making Change" to Afghanistan for an Independent Study Project in photography. I returned to Afghanistan in March 2007, as a volunteer for the NGO Afghans4Tomorrow, teaching English and photographing in the A4T girl's schools.

It's a lively tale you retell. It's humanizing to observe that the people of a country invaded by the US, still do not hold resentment against its citizens, even if with peaceful intentions.
I especially like the two portraits you captured! I wonder if the little girl will age the same way as Quandi-gul or if her life will be the mark of times changing & hopefully, for the better.
