I have an undergraduate degree in Philosophy from NYU and have since worked in the education departments at both Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York and SFJAZZ in San Francisco. I am currently pursuing my multiple subjects credential and Master of Arts Degree in Education at Mills College. I am particularly interested in arts education as a means for social justice in urban schools. I have trained in music, dance, theater and visual arts from elementary through high school and have a unique understanding of the importance of the arts in the life of a growing young person.
