Sobre mí
I am an American-born photographer raised in Morocco, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Belgium. I returned to the US for university and soon after began freelancing out of the New York Times' DC bureau. From there, I went on to pursue personal projects and returned to Morocco with a Fulbright grant to photograph "Behind Walls" a project documenting education and daily life at a girls' dormitory in a rural area of Morocco.

de Su exhibición:
Step into the crowded Dar Taliba, a girls' dormitory in rural Morocco. Photographer Amy Thompson takes you behind the walls that separate girls from the public space of boys and men. All the photographs are unposed and made with available light on film. Follow along with this slide show and discover a hidden world of reading, prayer, sports, whispers and the universal dramas of adolescent years.
