Brenda Arlene Jimenez Rodriguez was born and raised in a lower class family from Tijuana. She graduated from the School of Humanities of the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California, and obtained a bachelor’s degree in Communications. Currently she is studying a Masters degree in Visual Arts (ENAP/UNAM). She has worked and collaborated with various cultural groups in Tijuana, such as Bulbo (2002) and Yonke Art (2002-2005), and worked as a research assistant in the Cultural Studies Department of El Colegio de la Frontera Norte (COLEF).

She was a reporter and video editor for the cultural TV Magazine Cultura a Cuadro (2005-2006). Has teached various photography courses in the Graphic Design Department of UNIVER Noroeste College(2006-2009). She has been doing photography and collaborating in music projects since late 2000.
