Regan Balzer, a multi disciplinary artist, works predominantly as a painter while balancing life with a talented performer husband and three stunning children. She teaches occasionally at local Kura Kaupapa Mäori (Mäori Language immersion schools) and adults. Regans work is motivated by the revival of traditional Mäori knowledge and its application to life in a contemporary context. She has particular interest in developing her work towards the improvement of Native health statistics.
