SUMMARY:FILM SCREENING: Where the Water Meets the Sky
DESCRIPTION:Join Camfed and I.M.O.W. for a screening of Camfed's award-winning documentary, Where the Water Meets the Sky, in celebration of International Women's Day.  If you haven't yet had the chance to see Where the Water Meets the Sky, here's an opportunity to watch it in your own backyard. The film, written by Jordan Roberts (March of the Penguins) and narrated by Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman, will be screened at the Cubberley Theater in Palo Alto on March 16th.  Chronicling 23 women in a remote region of northern Zambia as they learn to make a film to tell their stories, Where the Water Meets the Sky focuses on Penelope, a young woman who was forced to drop out of school and provide for herself and her siblings after her parents' death.  The screening will be preceded by a multimedia piece from the International Museum of Women's current online exhibition, "Economica: Women and the Global Economy", and will be followed by a question-and-answer session with Camfed U.S.A.
